1 ഇങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത പണിയൊക്കെയും തീർന്നു; പിന്നെ ശലോമോൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് നിവേദിച്ചിരുന്ന വസ്തുക്കളായ വെള്ളിയും പൊന്നും ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ ഒക്കെയും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു ദൈവാലയത്തിലെ ഭണ്ഡാരഗൃഹങ്ങളിൽ വെച്ചു.
2 ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം സീയോൻ എന്ന ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരുവാൻ യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരെയും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരായ ഗോത്രപ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ ഒക്കെയും യെരൂശലേമിൽ കൂട്ടിവരുത്തി.
3 യിസ്രായേൽപുരുഷന്മാരെല്ലാവരും ഏഴാം മാസത്തിലെ ഉത്സവത്തിൽ രാജാവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നുകൂടി.
4 യിസ്രായേൽമൂപ്പന്മാരെല്ലാവരും വന്നശേഷം ലേവ്യർ പെട്ടകം എടുത്തു.
5 പെട്ടകവും സമാഗമനക്കുടാരവും കൂടാരത്തിലെ സകലവിശുദ്ധോപകരണങ്ങളും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ലേവ്യരുമത്രേ അവ കൊണ്ടുവന്നതു.
6 ശലോമോൻ രാജാവും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൂടിവന്നിരുന്ന യിസ്രായേൽസഭയൊക്കെയും എണ്ണുവാനും കണക്കെടുപ്പാനും കഴിയാതവണ്ണം വളരെ ആടുകളെയും കാളകളെയും പെട്ടകത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.
7 പുരോഹിതന്മാർ യഹോവയുടെ നിയമപെട്ടകം അതിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തു, ആലയത്തിലെ അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിൽ അതിവിശുദ്ധസ്ഥലത്തേക്കു കെരൂബുകളുടെ ചിറകിൻ കീഴെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു വെച്ചു.
8 കെരൂബുകൾ പെട്ടകത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു മീതെ ചിറകുവിരിച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തെയും അതിന്റെ തണ്ടുകളെയും മൂടിനിന്നു,
9 തണ്ടുകൾ നീണ്ടിരിക്കയാൽ തണ്ടുകളുടെ അറ്റങ്ങൾ അന്തർമ്മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിൽ പെട്ടകത്തെ കവിഞ്ഞു കാണും എങ്കിലും പുറത്തുനിന്നു കാണുകയില്ല; അവ ഇന്നുവരെ അവിടെ ഉണ്ടു.
10 യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം യഹോവ അവരോടു നിയമം ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ മോശെ ഹോരേബിൽവെച്ചു പെട്ടകത്തിൽ വെച്ചിരുന്ന രണ്ടു കല്പലകയല്ലാതെ അതിൽ മറ്റൊന്നും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.
11 പുരോഹിതന്മാർ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്നു വന്നപ്പോൾ--അവിടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാർ കൂറുകളുടെ ക്രമം നോക്കാതെ എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരുന്നു;
12 ആസാഫ്, ഹേമാൻ, യെദൂഥൂൻ എന്നിവരും അവരുടെ പുത്രന്മാരും സഹോദരന്മാരുമായി സംഗീതക്കാരായ ലേവ്യരെല്ലാവരും ചണവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു കൈത്താളങ്ങളും വീണകളും കിന്നരങ്ങളും പിടിച്ചു യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു കിഴക്കു കാഹളം ഊതിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്ന നൂറ്റിരുപതു പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടുകൂടെ നിന്നു--
13 കാഹളക്കാരും സംഗീതക്കാരും ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചു കാഹളങ്ങളോടും കൈത്താളങ്ങളോടും വാദിത്രങ്ങളോടും കൂടെ: അവൻ നല്ലവനല്ലോ അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളതു എന്നു ഏകസ്വരമായി കേൾക്കുമാറു യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തി സ്തുതിച്ചു; അവർ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ പാടി യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിച്ചപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയമായ മന്ദിരത്തിൽ ഒരു മേഘം നിറഞ്ഞു.
14 യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കു മേഘം നിമിത്തം ശുശ്രൂഷ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നില്പാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

3 Wherefore all H3605 NMS the men H376 NMS of Israel H3478 assembled themselves H6950 unto H413 PREP the king H4428 D-NMS in the feast H2282 which H1931 PPRO-3MS was in the seventh H7637 month H2320 D-NMS .

12 Also the Levites H3881 which were the singers H7891 , all H3605 of them of Asaph H623 , of Heman H1968 , of Jeduthun H3038 , with their sons H1121 and their brethren H251 , being arrayed H3847 in white linen H948 , having cymbals H4700 and psalteries H5035 and harps H3658 , stood H5975 VQPMP at the east end H4217 of the altar H4196 , and with H5973 them a hundred H3967 and twenty H6242 W-MMP priests H3548 sounding H2690 with trumpets H2689 : )
13 It came even to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS , as the trumpeters H2690 and singers H7891 were as one H259 , to make one H259 MMS sound H6963 CMS to be heard H8085 in praising H1984 and thanking H3034 the LORD H3068 L-EDS ; and when they lifted up H7311 their voice H6963 CMS with the trumpets H2689 and cymbals H4700 and instruments H3627 of music H7892 , and praised H1984 the LORD H3068 L-EDS , saying , For H3588 CONJ he is good H2896 AMS ; for H3588 CONJ his mercy H2617 endureth forever H5769 L-NMS : that then the house H1004 was filled H4390 VQQ3MS with a cloud H6051 NMS , even the house H1004 CMS of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS ;
14 So that the priests H3548 could H3201 not H3808 W-NPAR stand H5975 to minister H8334 by reason of M-CMP the cloud H6051 : for H3588 CONJ the glory H3519 of the LORD H3068 EDS had filled H4390 VQQ3MS the house H1004 CMS of God H430 .
