1 ആ കാലത്തു അവർ യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ അസ്ഥികളെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ അസ്ഥികളെയും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അസ്ഥികളെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ അസ്ഥികളെയും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളുടെ അസ്ഥികളെയും ശവക്കുഴികളിൽനിന്നെടുത്തു,
2 തങ്ങൾ സ്നേഹിച്ചതും സേവിച്ചതും പിഞ്ചെന്നു അന്വേഷിച്ചതും നമസ്കരിച്ചതുമായ സൂര്യന്നും ചന്ദ്രന്നും ആകാശത്തിലെ സർവ്വസൈന്യത്തിന്നും മുമ്പാകെ അവയെ നിരത്തിവെക്കും; ആരും അവയെ പെറുക്കിക്കൂട്ടുകയോ കുഴിച്ചിടുകയോ ചെയ്കയില്ല; അവ നിലത്തിന്നു വളമായിത്തീരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
3 ഈ ദുഷ്ടവംശങ്ങളിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ശേഷിപ്പു ഒക്കെയും, ഞാൻ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സകലസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർ തന്നേ, ജീവനെയല്ല മരണത്തെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
4 നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഒരുത്തൻ വീണാൽ എഴുനീൽക്കയില്ലയോ? ഒരുത്തൻ വഴി തെറ്റിപ്പോയാൽ മടങ്ങിവരികയില്ലയോ?
5 യെരൂശലേമിലെ ഈ ജനമോ ഇടവിടാത്ത പിന്മാറ്റമായി പിന്മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നതും വഞ്ചന മുറുകെ പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു മടങ്ങിവരുവാൻ മനസ്സില്ലാതിരിക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?
6 ഞാൻ ശ്രദ്ധവെച്ചു കേട്ടു; അവർ നേരു സംസാരിച്ചില്ല; അയ്യോ ഞാൻ എന്തു ചെയ്തുപോയി എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു ആരും തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടതയെക്കുറിച്ചു അനുതപിച്ചില്ല; കുതിര പടെക്കു പായുന്നതുപോലെ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വഴിക്കു തിരിയുന്നു.
7 ആകാശത്തിലെ പെരുഞാറ തന്റെ കാലം അറിയുന്നു; കുറുപ്രാവും മീവൽപക്ഷിയും കൊക്കും മടങ്ങിവരവിന്നുള്ള സമയം അനുസരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ജനമോ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായം അറിയുന്നില്ല.
8 ഞങ്ങൾ ജ്ഞാനികൾ; യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം ഞങ്ങളുടെ പക്കൽ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ? ശാസ്ത്രിമാരുടെ കള്ളയെഴുത്തുകോൽ അതിനെ വ്യാജമാക്കിത്തീർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
9 ജ്ഞാനികൾ ലജ്ജിച്ചു ഭ്രമിച്ചു പിടിപെട്ടുപോകും; അവർ യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ധിക്കരിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; അവർക്കു എന്തൊരു ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളു?
10 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ഭാര്യമാരെ അന്യന്മാർക്കും അവരുടെ നിലങ്ങളെ അവയെ കൈവശമാക്കുന്നവർക്കും കൊടുക്കും; അവരൊക്കെയും ആബാലവൃദ്ധം ദ്രവ്യാഗ്രഹികൾ ആകുന്നു; പ്രവാചകന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും ഒരുപോലെ വ്യാജം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നു.
11 സമാധാനം ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെ സമാധാനം സമാധാനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവർ എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പുത്രിയുടെ മുറിവിന്നു ലഘുവായി ചികിത്സിക്കുന്നു.
12 മ്ളേച്ഛത പ്രവർത്തിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; അവർ ഒരിക്കലും ലജ്ജിച്ചിട്ടില്ല നാണം അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു വീഴുന്നവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അവർ വീണുപോകും; അവരുടെ ദർശനകാലത്തു അവർ ഇടറി വീഴും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
13 ഞാൻ അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയിൽ മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; അത്തിവൃക്ഷത്തിൽ അത്തിപ്പഴം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല; ഇലയും വാടിപ്പോകും; അവരെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ നിയമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
14 നാം അനങ്ങാതിരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു? കൂടിവരുവിൻ; നാം ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളിൽ ചെന്നു അവിടെ നശിച്ചുപോക; നാം യഹോവയോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മെ നഞ്ചുവെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിച്ചു നശിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
15 നാം സമാധാനത്തിന്നായി കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഗുണവും വന്നില്ല; രോഗശമനത്തിന്നായി കാത്തിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഇതാ, ഭീതി!
16 അവന്റെ കുതിരകളുടെ ചിറാലിപ്പു ദാനിൽനിന്നു കേൾക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ആൺകുതിരകളുടെ മദഗർജ്ജനംകൊണ്ടു ദേശമൊക്കെയും വിറെക്കുന്നു; അവ വന്നു ദേശത്തെയും അതിലുള്ള സകലത്തെയും നഗരത്തെയും അതിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവരെയും വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയും.
17 ഞാൻ സർപ്പങ്ങളെയും മന്ത്രം ഫലിക്കാത്ത അണലികളെയും നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ അയക്കും; അവ നിങ്ങളെ കടിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
18 അയ്യോ, എന്റെ സങ്കടത്തിൽ എനിക്കു ആശ്വാസം വന്നെങ്കിൽ കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു; എന്റെ മനസ്സു വല്ലാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
19 കേട്ടോ, ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ പുത്രി: സീയോനിൽ യഹോവ വസിക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? അവളുടെ രാജാവു അവിടെ ഇല്ലയോ എന്നു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു. അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടും അന്യദേശങ്ങളിലെ മിത്ഥ്യാമൂർത്തികൾകൊണ്ടും എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതെന്തിന്നു?
20 കൊയ്ത്തുകഴിഞ്ഞു, ഫലശേഖരവും കഴിഞ്ഞു; നാം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുമില്ല.
21 എന്റെ ജനത്തിൻ പുത്രിയുടെ മുറിവു നിമിത്തം ഞാനും മുറിപ്പെട്ടു ദുഃഖിച്ചുനടക്കുന്നു; സ്തംഭനം എന്നെ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
22 ഗിലെയാദിൽ സുഗന്ധതൈലം ഇല്ലയോ? അവിടെ വൈദ്യൻ ഇല്ലയോ? എന്റെ ജനത്തിൻ പുത്രിക്കു രോഗശമനം വരാതെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതെന്തു?
23 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുജ്ഞാനി തന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തില്‍ പ്രശംസിക്കരുതു; ബലവാന്‍ തന്റെ ബലത്തില്‍ പ്രശംസിക്കരുതു; ധനവാന്‍ തന്റെ ധനത്തിലും പ്രശംസിക്കരുതു.
24 പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നവനോയഹോവയായ ഞാന്‍ ഭൂമിയില്‍ ദയയും ന്യായവും നീതിയും പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെ എന്ന ഗ്രഹിച്ചറിയുന്നതില്‍ തന്നേ പ്രശംസിക്കട്ടെ; ഇതില്‍ അല്ലോ എനിക്കു പ്രസാദമുള്ളതു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
25 ഇതാ മിസ്രയീം, യെഹൂദാ, ഏദോം, അമ്മോന്യര്‍, മോവാബ്, തലയുടെ അരികു വടിക്കുന്ന മരുവാസികള്‍ എന്നിങ്ങനെ അഗ്രചര്‍മ്മത്തോടുകൂടിയ സകല പരിച്ഛേദനക്കാരെയും ഞാന്‍ ശിക്ഷിപ്പാനുള്ള കാലം വരുന്നു.
26 സകലജാതികളും അഗ്രചര്‍മ്മികളല്ലോ; എന്നാല്‍ യിസ്രായേല്‍ഗൃഹം ഒക്കെയും ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ അഗ്രചര്‍മ്മികളാകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
1 At that H1931 time H6256 , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 EDS , they shall bring out H3318 the bones H6106 of the kings H4428 of Judah H3063 , and the bones H6106 of his princes H8269 CMP-3MS , and the bones H6106 of the priests H3548 , and the bones H6106 of the prophets H5030 , and the bones H6106 of the inhabitants H3427 of Jerusalem H3389 , out of their graves H6913 :

8 How H349 do ye say H559 VQY2MP , We H587 PPRO-1MP are wise H2450 AMP , and the law H8451 of the LORD H3068 EDS is with H854 PREP-1MP us ? Lo H2009 IJEC , certainly H403 ADV in vain H8267 made H6213 VQQ3MS he it ; the pen H5842 of the scribes H5608 is in vain H8267 NMS .
9 The wise H2450 AMP men are ashamed H954 , they are dismayed H2865 VQQ3MP and taken H3920 : lo H2009 IJEC , they have rejected H3988 the word H1697 of the LORD H3068 EDS ; and what H4100 IPRO wisdom H2451 is in them ?
10 Therefore H3651 L-ADV will I give H5414 VQY1MS their wives H802 unto others H312 , and their fields H7704 to them that shall inherit H3423 them : for H3588 CONJ every one H3605 from the least H6996 even unto H5704 W-PREP the greatest H1419 AMS is given to covetousness H1214 , from the prophet H5030 even unto H5704 W-PREP the priest H3548 every one H3605 dealeth H6213 VQPMS falsely H8267 .
11 For they have healed H7495 the hurt H7667 of the daughter H1323 CFS of my people H5971 slightly H7043 , saying H559 L-VQFC , Peace H7965 NMS , peace H7965 NMS ; when there is no H369 W-NPAR peace H7965 .
12 Were they ashamed H954 when H3588 CONJ they had committed H6213 VQQ3MP abomination H8441 ? nay H1571 CONJ , they were not H3808 ADV at all ashamed H954 , neither H3808 NADV could H3045 VQQ3MP they blush H3637 : therefore H3651 L-ADV shall they fall H5307 among them that fall H5307 : in the time H6256 of their visitation H6486 they shall be cast down H3782 , saith H559 VQQ3MS the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
13 I will surely consume H5486 them , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS : there shall be no H369 NPAR grapes H6025 on the vine H1612 , nor H369 W-NPAR figs H8384 on the fig tree H8384 , and the leaf H5929 shall fade H5034 ; and the things that I have given H5414 them shall pass away H5674 from them .

17 For H3588 CONJ , behold H2009 , I will send H7971 serpents H5175 , cockatrices H6848 , among you , which H834 RPRO will not H369 NPAR be charmed H3908 , and they shall bite H5391 you , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .

21 For H5921 PREP the hurt H7667 of the daughter H1323 CFS of my people H5971 am I hurt H7665 ; I am black H6937 ; astonishment H8047 hath taken hold H2388 on me .
22 Is there no H369 NPAR balm H6875 in Gilead H1568 ; is there no H369 NPAR physician H7495 there H8033 ADV ? why H4069 IPRO then H3588 CONJ is not H3808 NADV the health H724 of the daughter H1323 CFS of my people H5971 recovered H5927 ?
