Revelation 22:18 (NET) New English Translation

1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life— water as clear as crystal— pouring out from the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2 flowing down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river is the tree of life producing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month of the year. Its leaves are for the healing of the nations.
3 And there will no longer be any curse, and the throne of God and the Lamb will be in the city. His servants will worship him,
4 and they will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5 Night will be no more, and they will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, because the Lord God will shine on them, and they will reign forever and ever.
6 Then the angel said to me, "These words are reliable and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must happen soon."
7 (Look! I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy expressed in this book.)
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things, and when I heard and saw them, I threw myself down to worship at the feet of the angel who was showing them to me.
9 But he said to me, "Do not do this! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets, and with those who obey the words of this book. Worship God!"
10 Then he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy contained in this book, because the time is near.
11 The evildoer must continue to do evil, and the one who is morally filthy must continue to be filthy. The one who is righteous must continue to act righteously, and the one who is holy must continue to be holy."
12 (Look! I am coming soon, and my reward is with me to pay each one according to what he has done!
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end!)
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes so they can have access to the tree of life and can enter into the city by the gates.
15 Outside are the dogs and the sorcerers and the sexually immoral, and the murderers, and the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood!
16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star!"
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say: "Come!" And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wants it take the water of life free of charge.
18 I testify to the one who hears the words of the prophecy contained in this book: If anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.
19 And if anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.
20 The one who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon!" Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.

2 In G1722 PREP the midst G3319 A-DSN of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF street G4113 N-GSF of it G846 P-GSF , and G2532 CONJ on either side G1782 ADV of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM river G4215 N-GSM , was there the tree G3586 N-NSN of life G2222 N-GSF , which bare G4160 V-PAP-NSN twelve G1427 A-NUI manner of fruits G2590 N-APM , and yielded G591 V-PAP-NSM her G3588 T-ASM fruit G2590 N-ASM every G2596 PREP month G3376 N-ASM : and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NPN leaves G5444 N-NPN of G3588 T-GSN the G3588 T-GSN tree G3586 N-GSN were for G1519 PREP the healing G2322 N-ASF of G3588 T-GPN the G3588 T-GPN nations G1484 N-GPN .
3 And G2532 CONJ there shall be G2071 V-FXI-3S no more G3756 PRT-N curse G2652 N-NSN : but G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM throne G2362 N-NSM of God G2316 N-GSM and G2532 CONJ of G3588 T-GSN the G3588 T-GSN Lamb G721 N-GSN shall be G2071 V-FXI-3S in G1722 PREP it G846 P-DSF ; and G2532 CONJ his G3588 T-NPM servants G1401 N-NPM shall serve G3000 V-FAI-3P him G846 P-GSM :
4 And G2532 CONJ they shall see G3700 V-FDI-3P his G3588 T-ASN face G4383 N-ASN ; and G2532 CONJ his G3588 T-NSN name G3686 N-NSN shall be in G1909 PREP their G3588 T-GPN foreheads G3359 N-GPN .
5 And G2532 CONJ there shall be G2071 V-FXI-3S no G3756 PRT-N night G3571 N-NSF there G1563 ADV ; and G2532 CONJ they need G2192 V-PAI-3P no G3756 PRT-N candle G3088 N-GSM , neither G2532 CONJ light G5457 N-GSN of the sun G2246 N-GSM ; for G3588 T-NSM the G3588 T-NSM Lord G2962 N-NSM God G2316 N-NSM giveth them light G5461 V-FAI-3S : and G2532 CONJ they shall reign G936 V-FAI-3P forever and ever G1519 PREP .
6 And G2532 CONJ he said G2036 unto me G3427 P-1DS , These G3588 T-NPM sayings G3056 N-NPM are faithful G4103 A-NPF and G2532 CONJ true G228 A-NPM : and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM Lord G2962 N-NSM God G2316 N-NSM of the G3588 T-NPM holy G40 prophets G4396 N-GPM sent G649 V-AAI-3S his G3588 T-ASM angel G32 N-ASM to show G1166 V-AAN unto his G3588 T-DPM servants G1401 N-DPM the things which G3739 R-NPN must G1163 V-PQI-3S shortly G1722 PREP be done G1096 V-2ADN .
7 Behold G2400 V-2AAM-2S , I come G2064 V-PNI-1S quickly G5035 ADV : blessed G3107 A-NSM is he that keepeth G5083 V-PAP-NSM the G3588 T-APM saying G3056 N-APM of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF prophecy G4394 N-GSF of G3588 T-GSN this G3588 T-GSN book G975 N-GSN .
8 And G2532 CONJ I G1473 John G2491 N-NSM saw G991 V-PAP-NSM these things G5023 D-APN , and G2532 CONJ heard G191 V-PAP-NSM them . 10 And G2532 CONJ he saith G3004 V-PAI-3S unto me G3427 P-1DS , Seal G4972 V-AAS-2S not G3361 PRT-N the G3588 T-APM sayings G3056 N-APM of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF prophecy G4394 N-GSF of G3588 T-GSN this G3588 T-GSN book G975 N-GSN : for G3754 the G3588 T-NSM time G2540 N-NSM is G2076 V-PXI-3S at hand G1451 ADV .
11 He that is unjust G91 V-PAP-NSM , let him be unjust G91 V-AAM-3S still G2089 ADV : and G2532 CONJ he which is filthy G4510 V-APM-3S , let him be filthy G4510 V-APM-3S still G2089 ADV : and G2532 CONJ he that is righteous G1342 A-NSM , let him be righteous G1344 still G2089 ADV : and G2532 CONJ he that is holy G40 A-NSM , let him be holy G37 V-APM-3S still G2089 ADV .
12 And G2532 CONJ , behold G2400 V-2AAM-2S , I come G2064 V-PNI-1S quickly G5035 ADV ; and G2532 CONJ my G3588 T-NSM reward G3408 N-NSM is with G3326 PREP me G1700 P-1GS , to give G591 V-2AAN every man G1538 A-DSM according as G5613 ADV his G3588 T-NSN work G2041 N-NSN shall be G2071 V-FXI-3S .
13 I G1473 P-1NS am G1510 Alpha G1 N-LI and G2532 CONJ Omega G5598 N-LI , the beginning G746 N-NSF and G2532 CONJ the end G5056 N-NSN , the G3588 T-NSM first G4413 A-NSM and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM last G2078 A-NSM .
14 Blessed G3107 A-NPM are they that do G4160 V-PAP-NPM his G3588 T-APF commandments G1785 N-APF , that G2443 CONJ they G846 P-GSM may have G2071 V-FXI-3S right G1849 N-NSF to G1909 PREP the G3588 T-ASN tree G3586 N-ASN of life G2222 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ may enter in G1525 V-2AAS-3P through the G3588 T-DPM gates G4440 N-DPM into G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASF city G4172 N-ASF .
15 For G1161 without G1854 ADV are dogs G2965 N-NPM , and G2532 CONJ sorcerers G5333 N-NPM , and G2532 CONJ whoremongers G4205 N-NPM , and G2532 CONJ murderers G5406 N-NPM , and G2532 CONJ idolaters G1496 N-NPM , and G2532 CONJ whosoever G3956 A-NSM loveth G5368 V-PAP-NSM and G2532 CONJ maketh G4160 V-PAP-NSM a lie G5579 N-ASN .
16 I G1473 P-1NS Jesus G2424 N-NSM have sent G3992 V-AAI-1S mine G3588 T-ASM angel G32 N-ASM to testify G3140 V-AAN unto you G5213 P-2DP these things G5023 D-APN in G1909 PREP the G3588 T-DPF churches G1577 N-DPF . I G1473 P-1NS am G1510 V-PXI-1S the G3588 T-NSF root G4491 N-NSF and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN offspring G1085 N-NSN of David G1138 N-PRI , and the G3588 T-NSM bright G2986 A-NSM and G2532 CONJ morning G3720 star G792 N-NSM .
17 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSN Spirit G4151 N-NSN and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSF bride G3565 N-NSF say G3004 V-PAI-3P , Come G2064 V-PNI-2S . And G2532 CONJ let him that heareth G191 V-PAP-NSM say G2036 , Come G2064 V-PNI-2S . And G2532 CONJ let him that is athirst G1372 V-PAP-NSM come G2064 V-PNM-3S . And G2532 CONJ whosoever G3588 T-NSM will G2309 V-PAP-NSM , let him take G2983 V-2AAM-3S the G3588 T-NSM water G5204 N-ASN of life G2222 N-GSF freely G1432 ADV .
18 For G1063 I testify G4828 unto every man G3956 that heareth G191 V-PAP-DSM the G3588 T-APM words G3056 N-APM of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF prophecy G4394 N-GSF of G3588 T-GSN this G3588 T-GSN book G975 N-GSN , If G1437 COND any man G5100 X-NSM shall add G2007 V-2AAS-3S unto G4314 these G3588 T-NSM things G5023 , God G2316 N-NSM shall add G2007 V-AAN unto G1909 PREP him G846 P-APN the G3588 T-GSF plagues G4127 N-APF that are written G1125 V-RPP-APF in G1722 PREP this G3588 T-DSN book G975 N-DSN :
19 And G2532 CONJ if G1437 COND any man G5100 X-NSM shall take away G851 V-2AAS-3S from G575 PREP the G3588 T-GPM words G3056 N-GPM of the book G976 of G3588 T-GSF this G3588 T-GSF prophecy G4394 N-GSF , God G2316 N-NSM shall take away G851 V-AAO-3S his G3588 T-ASN part G3313 N-ASN out of G575 PREP the G3588 T-GSF book G976 of life G2222 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ out of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSF holy G40 A-GSF city G4172 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ from the things which are written G1125 V-RPP-GPN in G1722 PREP this G3588 T-GSN book G975 N-GSN .
20 He which testifieth G3140 V-PAP-NSM these things G5023 D-APN saith G3004 V-PAI-3S , Surely G3483 PRT I come G2064 V-PNI-1S quickly G5035 ADV . Amen G281 HEB . Even so G3483 PRT , come G2064 V-PNI-2S , Lord G2962 N-VSM Jesus G2424 N-VSM .
