ERVTA   (24-25) “ஒருவனது உடம்பின் மேல் நெருப்புப்பட்டு வெந்து அது ஆறிப்போன இடத்தில் தோலில் நிறம் இழந்தோ, அல்லது வெண்மையாகவோ இருக்கலாம். ஆசாரியன் அதனைச் சோதித்துப் பார்க்க வேண்டும். வெண்மையான தடிப்பு தோலுக்கு அடியில் ஆழமாக இருந்தாலும் தடிப்பின் மேல் உள்ள முடியின் பரப்பு வெளுத்திருந்தாலும், அதைத் தொழுநோயாகக் கருதலாம். தொழுநோய் வெந்த இடத்தில் வெளிப்பட்டு வளர்ந்து பெருகிவிட்டது. ஆகவே ஆசாரியன் அவனைத் தொழுநோயாளி என்று அறிவிக்கலாம்.
