TOV   ஆகையால் நான் களிப்பைப் புகழ்ந்தேன்; புசிப்பதும் குடிப்பதும் மகிழ்வதுமேயல்லாமல் சூரியனுக்குக்கீழே மனுஷனுக்கு வேறொரு நன்மையும் இல்லை; சூரியனுக்குக்கீழே தேவன் அவனுக்குத் தந்த ஜீவகாலத்தில் அவன் பிரயாசத்தினால் அவனுக்கு நிலைக்கும் பலன் இதுவே.
IRVTA   ஆகையால் நான் மகிழ்ச்சியைப் புகழ்ந்தேன்; சாப்பிடுவதும் குடிப்பதும் மகிழ்வதுமே தவிர சூரியனுக்குக்கீழே மனிதனுக்கு வேறொரு நன்மையும் இல்லை; சூரியனுக்குக்கீழே தேவன் அவனுக்கு கொடுத்த வாழ்நாளில் அவனுடைய பிரயாசத்தினால் அவனுக்கு நிலைக்கும் பலன் இதுவே.
ERVTA   எனவே நான் வாழ்க்கையை அனுபவிப்பதுதான் நல்லது என்று முடிவு செய்தேன். ஏனென்றால், ஜனங்கள் தம் வாழ்வில் செய்யவேண்டிய நல்ல காரியங்களாவன: உண்பது, குடிப்பது, வாழ்க்கையை அனுபவிப்பதுமேயாகும். தேவன் இவ்வுலகில் தங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த கடினமான வேலையில் இன்பம் காண்பதற்காகவாவது இவை உதவும்.
RCTA   அதைப்பற்றிச் சூரியன் முகத்தே உண்டு குடித்து இன்பமாய் இருப்பதைவிட, மனிதனுக்கு வேறு நன்மை இல்லையெனக் கொள்ளும் மகிழ்வை நான் புகழ்ந்தேன். உள்ளபடி சூரியனுக்குக் கீழே கடவுள் அவனுக்குக் கொடுத்த வாழ் நாட்களில் அவன் பட்டதொல்லையின் பயன் அதுவேயன்றி (இவ்வுலகத்தில்) வேறென்னதான் இருக்கிறது?
ECTA   எனவே, மனிதர் களிப்புடனிருக்க வேண்டும் என்ற முடிவுக்கு வந்தேன். உண்பதும் குடிப்பதும் களிப்பதுமேயன்றி, மனிதருக்கு உலகில் நலமானது வேறெதுவுமில்லை. உலகில் கடவுள் அவருக்கு அருளும் வாழ்நாளில் அவரது உழைப்புக்குக் கிடைக்கும் நிலையான பயன் இதுவே.

ERVKN   ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ನಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವುದೇ ಉತ್ತಮವೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆನು. ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಸಕರ ಕೆಲಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಸಂತೋಷವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.
IRVKN   ಆದುದರಿಂದಲೇ ನಾನು ಸಂತೋಷವನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿದೆನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಡಿಯುವುದೂ, ತಿನ್ನುವುದೂ, ಸಂತೋಷಪಡುವುದೇ ಹೊರತು ಬೇರೇನೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಪಡುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷವೇ ಸೇರಿರುವುದು.
