1. When you apportion the land into inheritances, you shall set apart a sacred tract of land for the LORD, twenty-five thousand cubits long and twenty thousand wide; its whole area shall be sacred.
|
1. Moreover , when ye shall divide by lot H5307 H853 the land H776 for inheritance H5159 , ye shall offer H7311 an oblation H8641 unto the LORD H3068 , a holy portion H6944 of H4480 the land H776 : the length H753 shall be the length H753 of five H2568 and twenty H6242 thousand H505 reeds , and the breadth H7341 shall be ten H6235 thousand H505 . This H1931 shall be holy H6944 in all H3605 the borders H1366 thereof round about H5439 .

2. Of this land a square plot, five hundred by five hundred cubits, surrounded by a free space of fifty cubits, shall be assigned to the sanctuary.

2. Of this H4480 H2088 there shall be H1961 for H413 the sanctuary H6944 five H2568 hundred H3967 in length , with five H2568 hundred H3967 in breadth , square H7251 round about H5439 ; and fifty H2572 cubits H520 round about H5439 for the suburbs H4054 thereof.

3. Also from this sector measure off a strip, twenty-five thousand cubits long and ten thousand wide, within which shall be the sanctuary, the holy of holies.

3. And of H4480 this H2063 measure H4060 shalt thou measure H4058 the length H753 of five H2568 and twenty H6242 thousand H505 , and the breadth H7341 of ten H6235 thousand H505 : and in it shall be H1961 the sanctuary H4720 and the most holy H6944 H6944 place .

4. This shall be the sacred part of the land belonging to the priests, the ministers of the sanctuary, who draw near to minister to the LORD; it shall be a place for their homes and pasture land for their cattle.

The holy H6944 portion of H4480 the land H776 shall be H1961 for the priests H3548 the ministers H8334 of the sanctuary H4720 , which shall come near H7131 to minister unto H8334 H853 the LORD H3068 : and it shall be H1961 a place H4725 for their houses H1004 , and a holy place H4720 for the sanctuary H4720 .

5. Also there shall be a strip twenty-five thousand cubits long and ten thousand wide as property for the Levites, the ministers of the temple, that they may have cities to live in.

5. And the five H2568 and twenty H6242 thousand H505 of length H753 , and the ten H6235 thousand H505 of breadth H7341 , shall also the Levites H3881 , the ministers H8334 of the house H1004 , have H1961 for themselves , for a possession H272 for twenty H6242 chambers H3957 .

6. As property of the City you shall designate a strip five thousand cubits wide and twenty-five thousand long, parallel to the sacred tract; this shall belong to the whole house of Israel.

6. And ye shall appoint H5414 the possession H272 of the city H5892 five H2568 thousand H505 broad H7341 , and five H2568 and twenty H6242 thousand H505 long H753 , over against H5980 the oblation H8641 of the holy H6944 portion : it shall be H1961 for the whole H3605 house H1004 of Israel H3478 .

7. The prince shall have a section bordering on both sides of the combined sacred tract and City property, extending westward on the western side and eastward on the eastern side, corresponding in length to one of the tribal portions from the western boundary to the eastern boundary

And a portion shall be for the prince H5387 on the one side H4480 H2088 and on the other side H4480 H2088 of the oblation H8641 of the holy H6944 portion , and of the possession H272 of the city H5892 , before H413 H6440 the oblation H8641 of the holy H6944 portion , and before H413 H6440 the possession H272 of the city H5892 , from the west H3220 side H4480 H6285 westward H3220 , and from the east H6924 side H4480 H6285 eastward H6921 : and the length H753 shall be over against H5980 one H259 of the portions H2506 , from the west H3220 border H4480 H1366 unto H413 the east H6921 border H1366 .

8. of the land. This shall be his property in Israel, so that the princes of Israel will no longer oppress my people, but will leave the land to the house of Israel according to their tribes.

8. In the land H776 shall be H1961 his possession H272 in Israel H3478 : and my princes H5387 shall no H3808 more H5750 oppress H3238 H853 my people H5971 ; and the rest of the land H776 shall they give H5414 to the house H1004 of Israel H3478 according to their tribes H7626 .

9. Thus says the Lord GOD: Enough, you princes of Israel! Put away violence and oppression, and do what is right and just! Stop evicting my people! says the Lord GOD.

10. You shall have honest scales, an honest ephah, and an honest liquid measure.
|
10. Ye shall have H1961 just H6664 balances H3976 , and a just H6664 ephah H374 , and a just H6664 bath H1324 .

11. The ephah and the liquid measure shall be of the same size: the liquid measure equal to a tenth of a homer, and the ephah equal to a tenth of a homer; by the homer they shall be determined.

11. The ephah H374 and the bath H1324 shall be H1961 of one H259 measure H8506 , that the bath H1324 may contain H5375 the tenth part H4643 of a homer H2563 , and the ephah H374 the tenth part H6224 of a homer H2563 : the measure H4971 thereof shall be H1961 after H413 the homer H2563 .

12. The shekel shall be twenty gerahs. Twenty shekels, twenty-five shekels, plus fifteen shekels shall be your mina.

12. And the shekel H8255 shall be twenty H6242 gerahs H1626 : twenty H6242 shekels H8255 , five H2568 and twenty H6242 shekels H8255 , fifteen H2568 H6240 shekels H8255 , shall be H1961 your mina H4488 .

13. These are the offerings you shall make: one sixth of an ephah from each homer of wheat, and one sixth of an ephah from each homer of barley.
|

14. The regulation for oil: for every measure of oil, a tenth of a measure, computed by the kor of ten liquid measures (or a homer, for ten liquid measures make a homer).

14. Concerning the ordinance H2706 of oil H8081 , the bath H1324 of oil H8081 , ye shall offer the tenth part H4643 of a bath H1324 out of H4480 the kor H3734 , which is a homer H2563 of ten H6235 baths H1324 ; for H3588 ten H6235 baths H1324 are a homer H2563 :

15. One sheep from the flock for every two hundred from the pasturage of Israel, for sacrifice-- holocausts and peace offerings and atonement sacrifices, says the Lord GOD.

15. And one H259 lamb H7716 out of H4480 the flock H6629 , out of H4480 two hundred H3967 , out of the fat pastures H4480 H4945 of Israel H3478 ; for a meat offering H4503 , and for a burnt offering H5930 , and for peace offerings H8002 , to make reconciliation H3722 for H5921 them, saith H5002 the Lord H136 GOD H3069 .

16. All the people of the land shall be bound to this offering (for the prince in Israel).

17. It shall be the duty of the prince to provide the holocausts, cereal offerings, and libations on the feasts, new moons, and sabbaths, on all the festivals of the house of Israel. He shall offer the sin offerings, cereal offerings, holocausts, and peace offerings, to make atonement on behalf of the house of Israel.

17. And it shall be H1961 the prince's part H5921 H5387 to give burnt offerings H5930 , and meat offerings H4503 , and drink offerings H5262 , in the feasts H2282 , and in the new moons H2320 , and in the sabbaths H7676 , in all H3605 solemnities H4150 of the house H1004 of Israel H3478 : he H1931 shall prepare H6213 H853 the sin offering H2403 , and the meat offering H4503 , and the burnt offering H5930 , and the peace offerings H8002 , to make reconciliation H3722 for H1157 the house H1004 of Israel H3478 .

18. Thus says the Lord GOD: On the first day of the first month you shall use an unblemished young bull as a sacrifice to purify the sanctuary.

19. Then the priest shall take some of the blood from the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the temple, on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the doorposts of the gates of the inner court.

20. You shall repeat this on the first day of the seventh month for those who have sinned through inadvertence or ignorance; thus you shall make atonement for the temple.

20. And so H3651 thou shalt do H6213 the seventh H7651 day of the month H2320 for every one H4480 H376 that erreth H7686 , and for him that is simple H4480 H6612 : so shall ye reconcile H3722 H853 the house H1004 .

21. On the fourteenth day of the first month you shall observe the feast of the Passover; for seven days unleavened bread is to be eaten.

22. On that day the prince shall offer on his own behalf, and on behalf of all the people of the land, a bull as a sin offering.

23. On each of the seven days of the feast he shall offer as a holocaust to the LORD seven bulls and seven rams without blemish, and as a sin offering he shall offer one male goat each day.

23. 24. As a cereal offering he shall offer one ephah for each bull and one ephah for each ram; and he shall offer one hin of oil for each ephah.

24. And he shall prepare H6213 a meat offering H4503 of an ephah H374 for a bullock H6499 , and an ephah H374 for a ram H352 , and a hin H1969 of oil H8081 for an ephah H374 .

25. On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, the feast day, and for seven days, he shall perform the same rites, making the same sin offerings, the same holocausts, the same cereal offerings and offerings of oil.

25. In the seventh H7637 month , in the fifteenth H2568 H6240 day H3117 of the month H2320 , shall he do H6213 the like H428 in the feast H2282 of the seven H7651 days H3117 , according to the sin offering H2403 , according to the burnt offering H5930 , and according to the meat offering H4503 , and according to the oil H8081 .
