2. And at dawn, He again arrived into the temple; and all the people came to Him. And sitting down, He taught them.	2. 3. And the scribes and the Pharisees brought to Him a woman having been taken in adultery. And standing her in the middle,	3. And ^G1161 the ^G3588 scribes ^G1122 and ^G2532 Pharisees ^G5330 brought ^G71 unto ^G4314 him ^G846 a woman ^G1135 taken ^G2638 in ^G1722 adultery ^G3430 ; and ^G2532 when they had set ^G2476 her ^G846 in ^G1722 the midst ^G3319 ,
4. they said to Him, Teacher, this woman was taken in the very act, committing adultery.	4. They say ^G3004 unto him ^G846 , Master ^G1320 , this ^G3778 woman ^G1135 was taken ^G2638 in adultery ^G3431 , in the very act ^G1888 .
5. And in the Law, Moses commanded that such should be stoned. You, then, what do You say?	5. Now ^G1161 Moses ^G3475 in ^G1722 the ^G3588 law ^G3551 commanded ^G1781 us ^G2254 , that such ^G5108 should be stoned ^G3036 : but ^G3767 what ^G5101 sayest ^G3004 thou ^G4771 ?
6. But they said this, tempting Him, that they may have reason to accuse Him. But bending down, Jesus wrote with the finger in the earth, not appearing to hear.	6. ^G1161 This ^G5124 they said ^G3004 , tempting ^G3985 him ^G846 , that ^G2443 they might have ^G2192 to accuse ^G2723 him ^G846 . 7. But as they continued questioning Him, bending back up, He said to them, The one among you without sin, let him cast the first stone at her.	7. 9. But hearing, and being convicted by the conscience, they went out one by one, beginning from the older ones, until the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the middle.	9. 10. And Jesus bending back up, and having seen no one but the woman, He said to her, Woman, where are those, the accusers of you? Did not one give judgment against you?	10. 11. And she said, No one, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I judge you. Go, and sin no more.	11. ^G1161 She ^G3588 said ^G2036 , No man ^G3762 , Lord ^G2962 . 12. Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, I am the Light of the world. The one following Me will in no way walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.	12. 14. Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I witness concerning Myself, My witness is true; for I know from where I came, and where I go. But you do not know from where I came, and where I go.	14. 16. But even if I judge, My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me.	16. 19. Then they said to Him, Where is your father? Jesus answered, You neither know Me, nor My Father. If you had known Me, then you also would have known My Father.	19. 21. Then Jesus said to them again, I go, and you will seek Me. And you will die in your sin. Where I go, you are not able to come.	21. 22. Then the Jews said, Will He kill Himself, because He says, Where I go, you are not able to come?	22. 23. And He said to them, You are from below; I am from above. You are from this world; I am not from this world.	23. 24. Therefore, I said to you that you will die in your sins. For if you do not believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.	24. 25. Then they said to Him, Who are You? And Jesus said to them, The Beginning, what I also say to you.	25. Then ^G3767 said ^G3004 they unto him ^G846 , Who ^G5101 art ^G1488 thou ^G4771 ? 26. I have many things to say and to judge concerning you; but the One sending Me is true, and what I heard from Him, these things I say to the world.	26. 28. Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM; and from Myself I do nothing; but as My Father taught Me, these things I speak.	28. 29. And the One who sent Me is with Me. The Father did not leave Me alone, for I do the things pleasing to Him always.	29. 31. Then Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in Him, If you continue in My Word, you are truly My disciples.	31. Then ^G3767 said ^G3004 Jesus ^G2424 to ^G4314 those Jews ^G2453 which believed ^G4100 on him ^G846 , *If ^G1437 ye ^G5210 continue ^G3306 in ^G1722 my ^G1699 word ^G3056 , then* are ^G2075 ye my ^G3450 disciples ^G3101 indeed ^G230 ;**
32. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.	32. And ^G2532 ye shall know ^G1097 the ^G3588 truth ^G225 , and ^G2532 the ^G3588 truth ^G225 shall make you free ^G1659 ^G5209 .
33. They answered Him, We are Abraham's seed, and we have been in slavery to no one, never! How do You say, You will become free?	33. They answered ^G611 him ^G846 , We be ^G2070 Abraham ^G11 's seed ^G4690 , and ^G2532 were never in bondage ^G1398 ^G4455 to any man ^G3762 : how ^G4459 sayest ^G3004 thou ^G4771 , Ye shall be made ^G1096 free ^G1658 ?
34. Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Everyone practicing sin is a slave of sin.	34. Jesus ^G2424 answered ^G611 them ^G846 , Verily ^G281 , verily ^G281 , I say ^G3004 unto you ^G5213 , Whosoever ^G3956 committeth ^G4160 sin ^G266 is ^G2076 the servant ^G1401 of sin ^G266 .
35. But the slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains to the age.	35. *And ^G1161 the ^G3588 servant ^G1401 abideth ^G3306 not ^G3756 in ^G1722 the ^G3588 house ^G3614 forever ^G1519 ^G165 : but* the ^G3588 Son ^G5207 abideth ^G3306 ever ^G1519 ^G165 .**
36. Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.	36. If ^G1437 the ^G3588 Son ^G5207 therefore ^G3767 shall make you free ^G1659 ^G5209 , ye shall be ^G2071 free ^G1658 indeed ^G3689 .
37. I know that you are Abraham's seed, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word is not given room in you.	37. I know ^G1492 that ^G3754 ye are ^G2075 Abraham ^G11 's seed ^G4690 ; but ^G235 ye seek ^G2212 to kill ^G615 me ^G3165 , because ^G3754 my ^G1699 word ^G3056 hath no place ^G5562 ^G3756 in ^G1722 you ^G5213 .
38. I speak what I have seen with My Father. And you therefore do what you have seen with your father.	38. I ^G1473 speak ^G2980 that which ^G3739 I have seen ^G3708 with ^G3844 my ^G3450 Father ^G3962 : and ^G2532 ye ^G5210 do ^G4160 that which ^G3739 ye have ^G3767 seen ^G3708 with ^G3844 your ^G5216 father ^G3962 .
39. They answered and said to Him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, If you were children of Abraham, you would do the works of Abraham.	39. 40. But now you seek to kill Me, a man who has spoken the truth to you, which I heard alongside of God. Abraham did not do this.	40. 41. You do the works of your father. They said to Him, We were not born of fornication; we have one father, God.	41. Ye ^G5210 do ^G4160 the ^G3588 deeds ^G2041 of your ^G5216 father. Then ^G3767 ^G3962 ^G3767 said ^G2036 they to him ^G846 , We ^G2249 be not ^G3756 born ^G1080 of ^G1537 fornication ^G4202 ; we have ^G2192 one ^G1520 Father ^G3962 , even God ^G2316 .
42. Then Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I went forth and have come from God. For I have not come from Myself, but that One sent Me.	42. 43. Why do you not know My speech? It is because you are not able to hear My Word.	43. *Why ^G1302 do ye not ^G3756 understand ^G1097 my ^G1699 speech ^G2981 ? even* because ^G3754 ye cannot ^G1410 ^G3756 hear ^G191 my ^G1699 word ^G3056 .**
44. You are of the Devil as father, and the lusts of your father you desire to do. That one was a murderer from the beginning, and he has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own, because he is a liar, and the father of it.	44. Ye ^G5210 are ^G2075 of ^G1537 your father ^G3962 the ^G3588 devil ^G1228 , and ^G2532 the ^G3588 lusts ^G1939 of your ^G5216 father ^G3962 ye will ^G2309 do ^G4160 . 45. And because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.	45. *And ^G1161 because ^G3754 I ^G1473 tell ^G3004 you* the ^G3588 truth ^G225 , ye believe ^G4100 me ^G3427 not ^G3756 .**
46. Who of you reproves Me concerning sin? But if I speak truth, why do you not believe Me?	46. Which ^G5101 of ^G1537 you ^G5216 convinceth ^G1651 me ^G3165 of ^G4012 sin ^G266 ? And ^G1161 if ^G1487 I say ^G3004 the truth ^G225 , why ^G1302 do ye ^G5210 not ^G3756 believe ^G4100 me ^G3427 ?
47. The one who is of God hears the Words of God; for this reason you do not hear, because you are not of God.	47. He that is ^G5607 of ^G1537 God ^G2316 heareth ^G191 God ^G2316 's words ^G4487 : ye ^G5210 therefore ^G1223 ^G5124 hear ^G191 them not ^G3756 , because ^G3754 ye are ^G2075 not ^G3756 of ^G1537 God ^G2316 .
48. Then the Jews answered and said to Him, Do we not say well that You are a Samaritan and have a demon?	48. Then ^G3767 answered ^G611 the ^G3588 Jews ^G2453 , and ^G2532 said ^G2036 unto him ^G846 , Say ^G3004 we ^G2249 not ^G3756 well ^G2573 that ^G3754 thou ^G4771 art ^G1488 a Samaritan ^G4541 , and ^G2532 hast ^G2192 a devil ^G1140 ?
49. Jesus answered, I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me.	49. Jesus ^G2424 answered ^G611 , I ^G1473 have ^G2192 not ^G3756 a devil ^G1140 ; but ^G235 I honor ^G5091 my ^G3450 Father ^G3962 , and ^G2532 ye ^G5210 do dishonor ^G818 me ^G3165 .
50. But I do not seek My glory; there is One who seeks and judges.	50. And ^G1161 I ^G1473 seek ^G2212 not ^G3756 mine own ^G3450 glory ^G1391 : there is ^G2076 one that seeketh ^G2212 and ^G2532 judgeth ^G2919 .
51. Truly, truly, I say to you, If anyone keeps My Word, he will not behold death to the age, never!	51. Verily ^G281 , verily ^G281 , I say ^G3004 unto you ^G5213 , If ^G1437 a man ^G5100 keep ^G5083 my ^G1699 saying ^G3056 , he shall never ^G3364 ^G1519 ^G165 see ^G2334 death ^G2288 .
52. Then the Jews said to Him, Now we know that You have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets, and You say, If anyone keeps My Word, he will not taste of death to the age, never!	52. Then ^G3767 said ^G2036 the ^G3588 Jews ^G2453 unto him ^G846 , Now ^G3568 we know ^G1097 that ^G3754 thou hast ^G2192 a devil ^G1140 . Abraham ^G11 is dead ^G599 , and ^G2532 the ^G3588 prophets ^G4396 ; and ^G2532 thou ^G4771 sayest ^G3004 , If ^G1437 a man ^G5100 keep ^G5083 my ^G3450 saying ^G3056 , he shall never ^G3364 ^G1519 ^G165 taste ^G1089 of death ^G2288 .
53. Are You greater than our father Abraham who died? And the prophets died! Whom do You make Yourself?	53. Art ^G1488 ^G3361 thou ^G4771 greater ^G3187 than our ^G2257 father ^G3962 Abraham ^G11 , which ^G3748 is dead ^G599 ? and ^G2532 the ^G3588 prophets ^G4396 are dead ^G599 : whom ^G5101 makest ^G4160 thou ^G4771 thyself ^G4572 ?
54. Jesus answered, If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me, whom you say is your God.	54. 55. And you have not known Him; but I know Him, And if I say that I do not know Him, I shall be like you, a liar. But I know Him, and I keep His Word.	55.
