2. for the mouth of the wicked, and the deceitful mouth, are opened against me; they spoke against me with a lying tongue.

3. And they hemmed me in with words of hating; and they fought against me without a cause.
3. They compassed me about H5437 also with words H1697 of hatred H8135 ; and fought against H3898 me without a cause H2600 .
4. In return for my love, they are my enemies; but I am in prayer.
4. For H8478 my love H160 they are my adversaries H7853 : but I H589 give myself unto prayer H8605 .
5. And they put on me evil for good, and hating for my love.

6. Set a wicked man over him; and let an adversary stand at his right hand;

7. when he is judged, let him go out wicked; and let his prayer become sin;

11. let the moneylender lay a snare for all that is his; and let strangers plunder his labor;

12. let there be none giving mercy to him; nor any to have pity on his orphans;

13. let his posterity be cut off; let their name be blotted out in the following generation;

14. let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered to Jehovah; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out;

15. let them be always before Jehovah, so that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth;

16. because he did not remember to do mercy; and he persecuted the poor and needy man, even to kill the broken of heart.
16. Because H3282 that H834 he remembered H2142 not H3808 to show H6213 mercy H2617 , but persecuted H7291 the poor H6041 and needy H34 man H376 , that he might even slay H4191 the broken H3512 in heart H3824 .
17. Yea, he loved cursing, and it came to him; he also had no pleasure in blessing, and it was far from him.

18. And he put on cursing as his robe, and it came like water in his inward parts, and like oil into his bones.

19. Let it be to him as a garment he wraps in, and for a girdle that he always girds on.

20. This is the reward of my foes from Jehovah, and of those who speak evil against my soul.

21. But You, O Jehovah the Lord, work with me for Your name's sake; deliver me because Your mercy is good.

22. For I am poor and needy, and my heart is pierced within me.

23. As a shadow when it stretches out, I am gone; I am shaken off like the locust.

24. My knees stumble from fasting, and my flesh grows lean from fatness.

25. And I have become a reproach to them; they looked at me; they shook their heads.

26. O Jehovah my God, help me; save me according to Your mercy;
26. Help H5826 me , O LORD H3068 my God H430 : O save H3467 me according to thy mercy H2617 :
27. and they will know that this is Your hand; that You, O Jehovah, have done it.
27. That H3588 they may know H3045 that this H2063 is thy hand H3027 ; that thou H859 , LORD H3068 , hast done H6213 it.
28. They will curse, but You will bless; they rise up and are ashamed; but Your servant will be glad.
28. Let them H1992 curse H7043 , but bless H1288 thou H859 : when they arise H6965 , let them be ashamed H954 ; but let thy servant H5650 rejoice H8055 .
29. Let those who accuse me be clothed with shame; and cover themselves in their shame as with a robe.
29. Let mine adversaries H7853 be clothed H3847 with shame H3639 , and let them cover H5844 themselves with their own confusion H1322 , as with a mantle H4598 .
30. I will greatly thank Jehovah with my mouth; yea, I will praise Him in the midst of the multitude.
30. I will greatly H3966 praise H3034 the LORD H3068 with my mouth H6310 ; yea , I will praise H1984 him among H8432 the multitude H7227 .
31. For He shall stand at the right hand of the needy; to save from those judging his soul.
31. For H3588 he shall stand H5975 at the right hand H3225 of the poor H34 , to save H3467 him from those that condemn H4480 H8199 his soul H5315 .
