1. A Psalm of Asaph God, Jehovah God, has spoken, and calls to the earth from the rising of the sun to its going in.

1. A Psalm H4210 of Asaph H623 . The mighty H410 God H430 , even the LORD H3068 , hath spoken H1696 , and called H7121 the earth H776 from the rising H4480 H4217 of the sun H8121 unto H5704 the going down H3996 thereof.

2. Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shone.
|
2. Out of Zion H4480 H6726 , the perfection H4359 of beauty H3308 , God H430 hath shined H3313 .

|
3. Our God comes, and He is not silent; a fire shall devour before Him; and it shall be very stormy around Him.

3. Our God H430 shall come H935 , and shall not H408 keep silence H2790 : a fire H784 shall devour H398 before H6440 him , and it shall be very H3966 tempestuous H8175 round about H5439 him.

4. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, to judge His people.

5. Gather My saints together to Me, those who cut My covenant by sacrifice.

6. And the heavens shall declare His righteousness, for God Himself is judge. Selah.

7. Hear, My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God.

8. Not for your sacrifices do I reprove you; yea, your burnt offerings are continually before Me;

9. I will take no bull out of your house, nor he-goats out of your folds,

10. for every beast of the forest is Mine; the cattle on a thousand hills;

11. I know all the birds of the mountains; and all moving in My fields are Mine;
|

12. if I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is Mine, and the fullness of it.

|
13. Will I eat the flesh of mighty ones, and will I drink the blood of he-goats?
|

|
14. Offer thanksgiving to God, and pay your vows to the Most High.

15. And call on Me in the day of distress, and I will save you; and you shall glorify Me.
|
15. And call upon H7121 me in the day H3117 of trouble H6869 : I will deliver H2502 thee , and thou shalt glorify H3513 me.

16. But to the wicked, God says, What is it to you to proclaim My statutes, and to take up My covenant on your mouth?
|
16. But unto the wicked H7563 God H430 saith H559 , What H4100 hast thou to do to declare H5608 my statutes H2706 , or that thou shouldest take H5375 my covenant H1285 in H5921 thy mouth H6310 ?

17. Yea, you hate instruction and toss My Words behind you.

17. Seeing thou H859 hatest H8130 instruction H4148 , and castest H7993 my words H1697 behind H310 thee.
|
|
18. When you saw a thief, you were pleased with him; and with adulterers is your portion.
|

19. You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.
|

|
20. You sit; you speak against your brother; you give fault to the son of your mother.
|

|
21. You have done these things, and I have kept silence; you thought that surely I would be like you; but I will rebuke you and set in order before your eyes.

22. Now think of this, you who forget God, lest I tear, and there not be any to deliver:

23. Whoever offers thanks glorifies Me; and he who prepares a way, I will show the salvation of God to him.
